In 2026, LISA and Klaksvík Municipality signed an agreement to offer a guest residence for artists in the municipality. LISA is very pleased with this initiative and thanks Klaksvík Municipality for their willingness to create better conditions and working environments for artists.
A Creative Retreat in Klaksvík
The retreat is available to local and international artists, that are looking for a place to focus on any aspect of their pursuits. Anyone is welcome to apply for residence, however, given that LISA is managing the residence, professional artists who are members of one of LISA´s affiliates will be given preference. Priority will also be given to artists who have not stayed at the residence before.
The rent is DKK 1000 per week. A deposit of DKK 2.000 is required and will be refunded on return of the residence in the same condition.
About the Artist Residence
On the ground floor, there is an entrance, kitchen, bathroom, living room, and a bedroom with space for one person to sleep.
There are two annual application rounds:
March 1st - 31st (for the time October to March next year)
September 1st - 30th (for the time April to September next year)
Applications for stays must be accompanied by a brief description of what the artist’s plans are for the stay, as well as a CV, text, images or other relevant material.
