The Council of Faroese Artists (LISA) is the national association of Faroese artists’ unions.
The council’s goal is to strengthen the role and position of the arts and of artists in cultural-political contexts, to work for common interests and rights, and to represent its members in matters that are of common interest to all members.
Furthermore, the council wishes to represent Faroese artists in Nordic and international contexts.
The small village of Tjørnuvík is the northernmost settlement on the island Streymoy. The Sunda municipality has turned the old school into an artists’ residence. The house is suitable for one or two persons.
Artists can rent the house for artistic activities for one to three months. The rent is DKK 500 a week. This includes payment for bedclothes and towels that are changed once a week. A deposit of DKK 2,000 is payable on booking.
